The number one tool in the classroom is the board (besides students themselves), yet teachers rarely utilize it to its fullest potential. Remember, like it or not, learners tend to use it as a guide for notes. In this workshop, teachers learn to recognise attributes of effective boardwork, strategies and tricks for using the board for different learner styles, as well as how to organize and plan information for the board for students’ utmost gain. Whiteboards and chalkboards are both discussed.
