Twitter is a wonderful thing.  One of the more organised and concentrated moments of PD are the hour-long chats available for the wide range of fields within our ELT industry and the greater education industries. During these chats, on Twitter, use add the #***chat hashtags below to your tweets  and look out for like-tagged tweets based on a chosen topic for the week.  It’s fast-paced and sometimes a little confusing to keep up, but worth the amount of information sharing that comes with it.  Additionally, someone usually summarises the chat on their blogs.

#edchat (broadest education chat), #ELTchat (wider ELT topics), #breltchat (ELT chat with Brazilian focus), #kinderchat (kindergarten teachers), #elemchat (elementary school teachers), #cpchat (principals chat), #ntchat (topics for new teachers), and many more.  It’s exploded down niche avenues.

I am really looking forward to this coming to fruition, Tyson. While enjoy #ELTChat, I’d really love something that got really into the kind of issues I face on a daily basis.

Ditto, hence the initiative. I’ve heard from Sharon that you two have already discussed this. I haven’t checked her email yet, but will do shortly.
