about 4C

4C was founded by me, Tyson Seburn, in February 2010. The main goal is to build and support the ELT (English Language Teaching) community in Canada through networking, training and professional development opportunities.  I am the owner, director and worker of everything 4C, though I welcome the collaboration of colleagues and other professionals on projects or team workshops.

Why “4C”?
A very good and meaningful question, the answer to which resonates throughout the 4C mission:

I want to help build a supportive language teaching community, especially in Toronto.
I want to collaborate with educators to create powerful projects I cannot do alone.
I want to demonstrate the power of a global staffroom through online connections.
I want to encourage instructors to contribute ideas towards our common goals.

Within good time, how each of these 4Cs are integrated into the work I do here should become evident through the blog posts, the menu items and the general content you see on this site (and on all the sites you see me frequent!).  Please drop me a line if you ever want more information or just to open up a dialogue about any ELT issues or contexts.
